It begins with a spark and becomes an obession.
Ideas come in many forms - a picture, a song, a conversation, an experience. From there, my brain starts stringing together characters, places, and events. Sometimes even I don’t know where the stories are going before the end.
Growing up in Michigan, going to the cottage was a weekend activity. I spent many summers with my nose in a book thanks to Nana’s persistent library visits. Even to this day, I can be found haunting the local library with my daughter. As a family we love to travel. Writing has always been a way to escape reality for me - inventing worlds, characters, stories - all in the safety of my room. I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan with my husband and our daughter.
